BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — West Alabama’s Rashad Robinson (player) along with Trevecca Nazarene duo Jonah Smithson (pitcher) and Rylan Moses (freshman) received Gulf South Conference Baseball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions, for their performances during the week of February 2-8, 2026.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rashad Robinson, OF, Sr., West Alabama
Robinson hit 500 (8-for-16), slugged 1.188 and had an on-base percentage of .600, helping the Tigers go 4-0 as they faced Albany State and Augusta. The senior outfielder’s weekly ledger also included nine runs scored, 10 RBI, two home runs, a triple, four walks and two stolen bases. Robinson had hits in all four games, including a 3-for-5 day with two homers and a triple in the opener with Albany State. He later logged a 3-for-4 showing with two RBI and stolen base against Augusta to close the weekend.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jonah Smithson, RHP, Sr., Trevecca Nazarene
Smithson was credited with his second win of the season as the Trojans routed Kentucky Wesleyan, 19-0, in seven innings. The senior right-hander tossed nine strikeouts and held KWC hitless in five innings of work. He surrendered two walks in 18 batters faced.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Rylan Moses, OF, Trevecca Nazarene
Moses helped the Trojans to a 2-1 series win over Kentucky Wesleyan as was 5-for-11 (.455) at the plate and drove in five runs. The rookie also scored seven times, had two extra base hits, a walk and went 2-for-2 in steals. In a Saturday doubleheader, Moses hit 2-for-4 with a double in each contests, while posting a five-RBI effort in the series finale.
