The Gulf South Conference announced its fourth set of women’s soccer Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, for performances based on matches from September 22-28.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alaysia Nye, Sr., F, Lee

• Had a five-point week to lead the Lady Flames to a pair of wins in GSC play.
• Scored the game’s lone goal in the sixth minute during a 1-0 decision over Valdosta State.
• Helped Lee to a 4-0 win over AUM, assisting on the Lady Flames second goal in the 13th minute before scoring the team’s third of the match in the 54th minute.
• Played a total of 104 minutes across the two games.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Avery Sides, Sr., D, Lee

• Provided the game-winning assist in a 1-0 victory over Valdosta State.
• Helped organize the Lady Flames backline to two clean sheets, while holding teams to nine total shots.
• Played 172 minutes as Lee went 2-0 on the week and earned six points in GSC play.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Ciara Duff, Sr., GK, Montevallo

• Had two clean sheets as Montevallo improved to 4-0 on the year in GSC play.
• Made two saves and faced eight shots in a 2-0 win over UAH. 
• Faced two shots in a 1-0 win over West Alabama.

• Helped the Falcons earn six points in GSC play.
• Began the week with three shots in a 1-0 win over West Alabama.
• Tallied the game-winner with a 54th-minute goal in a 2-0 win over UAH.
• Earned her second consecutive GSC Freshman of the Week award.
