West Florida Tandem Named D2CCA Women's Soccer All-Americans

West Florida duo Olof Thorvalsdottir and Jillian Thompson were earned all-America honors as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association announced its women’s soccer selections following the 2025 season.

Thorvalsdottir garnered Second Team honors at midfield as she finished the season with 28 points as she scored 10 goals–four game-winners–and had eight assists. The native of Reykjavik, Iceland previously earned D2CCA South Region and Gulf South Conference Player of the Year honors.

Thompson was also a D2CCA Second Team All-America selection. Appearing in 18 games for the Argonauts, Pensacola, Fla., native was a key piece to the defensive backline, while contributing to the offense with four goals and 17 shots on target.

Of the 30 institutions represented, West Florida one of just eight with two or more players recognized on the All-America teams.

Athletic communication professionals from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three D2CCA All-America teams. The process began at the regional level with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education.
