CLEVELAND, Ohio – Six hundred sixty-nine Gulf South Conference student-athletes were named as a recipient of the 2024-25 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award. 

Seven of 12 GSC institutions were represented. Lee and West Florida led the conference with 122 honorees, while Delta State followed with 120. Also included was Montevallo, UAH, Auburn Montgomery and Union.

LIST OF GSC HONOREES

The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 18th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level in NCAA championship sponsored sports. 

To qualify for this honor, the following must occur: (1) The AD must be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA; (2) The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and have been an active member of an Intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
