Solid Start for GSC Competitors on Day 1 of NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

PUEBLO, Colo. – Day one of the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships came and went with a number of GSC student-athletes delivering solid performances. 
 
RESULTS
 
MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
 Lee’s Evan Moore kicked off the GSC’s participation in the men’s events with a 17th-place finish in the 1500-meter prelims. He finished with a time of 3:55.87 in the race. The Flames had two top-seven finishers in the 3000m Steeplechase prelims as Stephen Clark finished fourth with a time of 9:13.62, while Luke Gaddis came in seventh with a time of 9:14.52. Alabama Huntsville also saw Nathan Knox finish 14th in the Steeplechase Prelims with a time of 9:23.84. 
 
Mississippi College’s lone participant of the day, Oliver Ollesch, came in 19th in the 400m Hurdle Prelims with a time of 53.91 seconds. To finish the first day, UAH saw Sam Wilhelm finish 13th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:02.16. 
 
WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
 Lee would also kick off the conference’s participation in the women’s events with two top-ten finishers in the 1500 prelims. Lily Hare finished in ninth with a time of 4:31.11, while freshman standout Estella Clemons finished not far behind in tenth with a time of 4:31.13. Ana Patricia Campos would round out the women competitors on day one with a 15th-place finish in the 10,000 meters at a time of 36:38.77. 
 
The 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will continue into Friday, starting with the 110m Hurdle portion of the Men’s Decathlon at 10:30 AM CT. For more information, including live results, schedule of events, and more, please visit NCAA.com
