The Gulf South Conference was well-represented with 13 selections as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Super Region Two All-Region Teams were announced.
Headlining the honorees was West Florida quarterback Marcus Stokes who was named the region’s Offensive Player of the Year. Stokes was one of the nation’s top quarterbacks this season, passing for 3,297 yards with 30 touchdowns and rushing for ten scores. He ranked first in the GSC in passing yards and touchdowns, as well as total offense (3,664). Stokes is just the second player in UWF history to throw over 3,000 yards in a season. Stokes helped lead the Argos to a No. 2 seed in Super Region Two and was named a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy.
