Lee Captures Fifth-Straight D2 Men's Cross Country Region Title

LAKELAND, Fla. — Lee University men’s cross country captured its fifth-straight NCAA Division II South Region Championship on Saturday morning at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Fla.

The Flames won their fifth consecutive region trophy with 24 points, while all five scoring runners placed in the top-eight. Lee’s performance marked the 10th straight season that a Gulf South Conference program won the team title and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
 
UAH is an at-large bid hopeful with a fourth-place finish with 95 points, while Mississippi College registered 193 points to take home seventh. AUM (eighth), Union (ninth) and West Alabama (10th) also placed in the top-10, while Christian Brothers, Montevallo, Trevecca Nazarene, Valdosta State and West Florida placed among 12th through 17th.
 
Lee runners Tucker Wright finished second (31:36.83), Edimo Ninteretse placed third (31:37.14), Pierre Chauveau took home fifth (31:42.84), Luke Gaddis came in sixth (31:52.29) and Evan Moore rounded out the Flames in eighth (32:01.77).
 
Other notable finishes include Christian Brothers’ Basile Chevrel in 12th (32:15.19) and UAH’s Dakota Frank in 20th (32:40.40).
 
The 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship will be held at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The full list of participants will be announced Monday, Nov. 10 on ncaa.com.
