INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced Monday that West Florida, Lee and Montevallo were selected for the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship.
This is the eighth consecutive year that the Gulf South Conference has two or more women’s teams in the NCAA Tournament and the 11th time overall since 2002.
West Florida, GSC Regular Season and Tournament Champion, earned the conference’s automatic bid and is going to the NCAA Tournament for the 10th consecutive season and a conference best 21st time. The Argonauts were named the No. 1 seed in the South Region and earned a first-round bye. No. 1 West Florida will host the winner of No. 4 Florida Tech and No. 5 Embry-Riddle (FL) Sunday, Nov. 23 at the UWF Soccer Complex. The game is set to start at 3 p.m. CT.
Lee is returning to the NCAA tournament for the eighth time after missing out last season. The Lady Flames were selected for an at-large bid and the three-seed in the South Region. No. 3 Lee will face conference foe No. 6 Montevallo Friday, Nov. 21 at the NSU Soccer Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. at 3 p.m. ET.
Montevallo is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time and second straight year as an at-large bid. The Falcons will play a first round game as the South Region's six-seed. No. 6 Montevallo is set for a matchup against GSC opponent No. 3 Lee Friday, Nov. 21 at the NSU Soccer Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. at 3 p.m. ET.
The women’s tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 20 with the first round through quarterfinals played at selected host sites, while the semifinals and championship game will be hosted by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
