#1 West Florida def. #4 West Alabama, 2-0 | Box Score
The Argonauts return to the championship game for the seventh time in nine years. They controlled the tempo early as Rece Grant scored the opener in the 11th minute on the edge of the box after a failed clearance by West Alabama. Minutes later, the Tigers nearly leveled the match as Selis Demirci’s shot grazed the outside of the post.
Leading 1-0 after the halftime break, West Florida doubled its lead shortly into the second half as Mya Swinton scored in the 50th minute. Swinton’s strike also came from outside the box following a long run down the flank before cutting towards goal. West Alabama continued to challenge the UWF backline but was ultimately unable to break through.
#3 Montevallo def. #7 Mississippi College, 3-1 | Box Score
Montevallo is headed back to the final for the third consecutive year. The Falcons got off to a hot start as GSC Freshman of the Year, Ayla Ertekin, scored the first goal in the 21st minute off a cross in the box from Isabel Dillehay. Just seven minutes later, Dillehay found the back of the net herself with help from a header off Elise Marquardt.
With a two-goal advantage at halftime, Montevallo continued to play with momentum going into the second half as Lainey Farabaugh scored in the 55th minute. Farabaugh finished the shot inside the box after a challenge won at midfield and a quick sprint down the pitch. Mississippi College created a couple of opportunities and finally found success with a 73rd-minute goal from Abby Badurak. The Lady Choctaws earned a pair of corners late in the second half but could not complete a comeback.
