The Gulf South Conference announced its sixth set of women's soccer Player of the Week awardees of the 2025 season, for performances based on matches from October 6-12.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Selis Demirci, Sr., F, West Alabama

• Had a six-point week to help lead West Alabama to a pair of wins in GSC play.
• Scored back-to-back goals in the 81st and 82nd minute during a 2-1 win at Christian Brothers.
• Recorded the Tigers lone goal in a 1-0 win against Union on the road.
• Took 10 shots, with 4 being on goal, in a total of 174 minutes across the two games.
• Earned her second consecutive GSC Player of the Week award.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alexa Pratt, Sr., D, Spring Hill

• Scored the game-winning goal in Spring Hill’s 1-0 win over AUM.
• Helped the Badgers to consecutive clean sheets, as the backline hold AUM to zero shots on goal.
• Played 180 minutes as Spring Hill earned six points in the GSC standings with road wins over Valdosta State and AUM.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Ciara Duff, Jr., GK, Montevallo

• Posted a 1-0-1 record for the week with a total of 10 saves on 26 shots.
• Tallied seven saves on 15 shots faced in a 1-0 win over Delta State. 
• Made three saves in 11 shots faced in a 0-0 draw against Mississippi College. 
• Now has six shutouts in six appearances this season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Yumari Hernandez, GK, West Alabama

• Helped West Alabama earn six points in GSC play with wins over Christian Brothers and Union.
• Faced 18 shots and made five saves on the weekend while only allowing one goal.
• Recorded her seventh shutout of the season in a 1-0 win against Union.
• Earned her fourth GSC Freshman of the Week award this season.
