BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delta State guard Chris Terrell (player) and Union forward Judson Bjornstad (freshman) each earned GSC men’s basketball weekly awards following action from the fourth week of the 2024-25 season. 

Player of the Week:
Chris Terrell, Sr., G, Delta State

Terrell collected his first GSC Player of the Week honor this season after a dominant showing on both ends of the floor in a 79-63 win over Arkansas-Monticello. The senior was on triple-double watch in this one as he recorded 26 points on 60 percent shooting, including three-of-five from beyond the arc, pulled down six rebounds, and had a career-high eight steals. He wasn’t done there, however, as the Horn Lake, Miss. native also dished out two assists and was a rim protector with two blocks.

Freshman of the Week:
Judson Bjornstad, Fr., F, Union
 
Bjornstad averaged 11.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and a block across Union’s two games to secure his first-career GSC Freshman of the Week award. The freshman began the week with 11 points, swatted a shot, dished out two assists, and pulled down three rebounds in a matchup against Drury. He then built on this against Illinois-Springfield as he dropped a season-high 12 points, including two makes from behind the arc, blocked another shot, had a steal, and grabbed a defensive board.
