Lee Wins Sixth-Consecutive GSC Outdoor Track & Field Title

CLEVELAND, Tenn. — For the sixth consecutive season, Lee University won the Gulf South Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

After 21 scored events, Lee stood atop the team standings 276 total points, the second-most by a women’s program since the sport was sponsored by the conference in 2016. Alabama Huntsville finished second with 119 points, while Mississippi College was third-overall with 91 points.

Following the meet, Alabama Huntsville’s Ijah Drake was named Most Outstanding Freshman Performer, while Most Outstanding Track Performer went to Lee’s Celine Ritter. Shorter’s Shakira Ardister and Lee’s Deborah Rubin shared Most Outstanding Field Performer honors, as Lee’s Carissa Hall meanwhile picked was awarded Most Outstanding Overall Performer, becoming the first athlete to win the award in back-to-back seasons.
