#GSCWTEN Players of the Week: March 2
The Gulf South Conference announced its Women's Tennis Player of the Week Awards for the 2021-22 season. This week's awards were for matches between Feb. 21-27.
Player of the Week: Raquel Amaro - Christian Brothers
Amaro went undefeated this weekend with four-match winning streak in CBU's matches against Delta State and Montevallo. In the No. 1 doubles slot against DSU, she paired with Maud Vandeputte to defeat Lavinia Horning and Alena Macharova 6-1. The senior won her singles match against Macharova 6-0, 6-1 as the Lady Bucs won the match 5-2. In CBU's 4-3 win over Montevallo, Amaro took her No. 1 singles match with Mireia Turro 6-0, 6-0 before winning the top doubles match with Vandeputte, 6-1. over Turro and Emily Hafner.

Freshman of the Week: Maud Vandeputte - Christian Brothers
Vandeputte earned a 4-0 record while only dropping two games in doubles this past weekend with victories against Delta State ad Montevallo. Against DSU, she took her match with Marie Guillaume 6-0, 6-1 before pairing with Raquel Amaro to defeat Lavinia Horning and Alena Macharova 6-1. In the match with Montevallo, she paired with Amaro as the duo defeated Emily Hafner and Mireia Turro 6-1. Vandputte earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Emily Hafner in the No. 2 singles slot.
