GSC 2022-23 All-Sports Trophy Standings: Fall

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Following an exciting 2022 Fall ensemble of cross country, football, soccer and volleyball, Mississippi College topped the 2022-23 Gulf South Conference All-Sports Trophy overall standings.

The Choctaws amassed 53.625 total points during the fall sports season. West Florida followed with 52.125 points, while Lee was third overall with 45.125 points. Montevallo and Alabama Huntsville rounded out the top five with 39.0 and 34.0 points, respectively.

In addition, Mississippi College headlined both the men’s (22.5 points) and women’s sports (31.125 pts) standings, highlighted a GSC tournament title in women’s soccer. It also benefited from a second-place finishes from the men's and women's cross country team as the GSC Championship, a second-place finish by women’s soccer in the regular season standings, while volleyball finished third in the regular season.

The Overall All-Sports Trophy counts all sports that a school sponsors, with its regular-season finish in the standings counting towards 75 percent of the final rank a tournament finish making up the other 25 percent. Affiliate members (Flager, Lander, North Greenville and Spring Hill) are included in the calculations, but do not qualify for the All-Sports Trophy.
