Round Two
The Lee Flames increased their lead in the second round of the GSC Men’s Golf Championship on Monday. Lee, led by Shea Sylvester, shot 291 on Sunday and improved on that score with a 285 in round two. The Flames are currently seven shots up on second-place West Florida who improved their score from day one’s 295, scoring 288.

Valdosta State, Delta State and North Alabama round out the top four with round two scores of 300, 298 and 291, respectively. North Alabama made the biggest shift of the day, moving from eighth to fourth place. The Lions, led by Forrest Knight, improved their round one score by 18 shot, scoring 291 in round two.

On the individual leaderboard, West Florida’s Chandler Blanchet remains on top. The sophomore took sole possession of first place, shooting a round-low 68. Sylvester, now one stroke off the lead, shot 69 on Monday to move to four under par.

North Alabama’s Knight also had a low-round score of 68. Knight, Christian Brothers' Dallas Shepard and Lee's Peyton Sliger round out the top five.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the first groups teeing off at 8:00 am. The presentation of the All-Tournament team and championship trophies will follow directly after the final round.
