The
Gulf South Conference recognizes official champions in 16 sponsored sports and Invitational Champions in the "emerging sport" of women's lacrosse. The GSC conducts championship events in
seven men's sports (baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track & field) and
nine women's sports (basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field and volleyball). The Football Championship is awarded to the team(s) with the highest win-loss percentage in league competition.
For the fourth year in a row, the GSC will conduct an Inviational Tournament in women's lacrosse in hopes of officially sponsoring the sports in the near future. Results from women's lacrosse will not be included in the All-Sports Trophy calculations.
