ABOUT THE GULF SOUTH CONFERENCE
Since its formation, the Gulf South Conference (GSC) has established a tradition of overall excellence and leadership within the NCAA Division II landscape, capturing over 50 national titles and more than 150 regional championships, while its student-athletes graduate at higher rate than their non-athletic counterparts. Celebrating its 50th year, in 2021-22, the GSC is a charter Division II member that prides itself as one of the first conferences to be created and administered by its CEOs.
As of the 2025-26 academic year, the GSC sponsors 19 sports and hosts 18 championship events. Official sponsored sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field and volleyball. Prior to the 2020-21 academic year, the conference officially added women's lacrosse after three seasons as an emerging sport.
