The second set of 2026 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions were announced following performances from Aug. 31-Sept. 6.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cooper Garrett, S, So., UAH 

• Led the Chargers to a 3-0 week at the UAH Invitational with wins over Spring Hill, Mars Hill and Harding.
• Hit .303 on 99 attempts with 35 kills, 70 assists and tallied 42.5 points across 11 sets.
• Had 13 kills and hit .316 with 21 assists in a 3-1 win over Spring Hill.
• Racked up 11 kills and hit .333 with 20 helpers in three-set sweep against Harding.
• Dished out a season-high 29 assists and two aces in four-setter versus Mars Hill.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eimy Negron Domenech, DS/L, Sr.., Valdosta State

• Had a strong week tallying 121 digs (8.07 per set) across four matches.
• Helped the Blazers go 2-2 at the Flagler Invitational.
• Had a season-high 35 digs in a four-setter against Maryville (Mo.)
• Nearly matched that performance the next day with 34 digs against Flagler.
• Also contributed offensively with 30 assists.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Rachele Zanini, S, West Alabama

• Helped the Tigers to a 4-0 weekend at the Reddie-Tiger Challenge.
• Earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
• Finished with 134 assists, 14 kills behind .406 hitting, four service aces and 32 digs while appearing in 14 sets.
• Had a season-high 52 assists in a five-set win at Henderson State.
• Tallied 30 or more helpers in back-to-back three-set matches against Texas A&M International (30) and Erskine (35).
