The fourth set of 2026 Gulf South Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions have been announced, based on performances from Sept. 14-20.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
David Nunez, F, Sr., West Alabama

• Collected seven points from three goals and one assist to repeat as GSC Player of the Week.
• Scored three goals on three shots on Sept. 19 for his second hat trick of the season in UWA's 8-2 win over Harding.
• Posted three shots, one on goal, against Lee on Sept. 19. 
• Leads the GSC in goals and is third in the nation.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Freddie Westfall, D, Fr., Union

• Anchored the Bulldogs' backline that allowed only one goal during a 2-0 week, playing all 180 minutes. 
• Assisted the game-winning goal in Union's 2-1 win at Delta State on Sept. 16.
• Collected one shot on goal in the 1-0 win over Spring Hill on Sept. 19.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Jakob Buhrkuhl, GK, 5th, AUM

• Played all 90 minutes in each of No. 10 AUM's clean-sheet wins last week.
• Made two saves in the 3-0 win at Spring Hill.
• Recorded four saves in a 1-0 victory against Christian Brothers.
• Earned his second GSC Goalkeeper of the Week honor in the first four weeks of the season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Zion Jones, M, Fr., Trevecca Nazarene

• Scored twice in his first career start during Trevecca's 6-2 win over Mississippi Christian.
• Posted a .667 shooting percentage and 1.000 shots-on-goal percentage during the week.
• Helped Trevecca to a 1-0-1 week to extend the Trojans' unbeaten start to seven matches, the best in program history.
• Played 30 minutes in a 1-1 tie at No. 20 UAH.
