The first set of 2026 Gulf South Conference Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards presented by Athletic Solutions have been announced, based on performances from Aug. 27-30.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jaden McKree, Sr., F, AUM

• Made his AUM debut with four points, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win against Saint Leo on Aug. 27. 
• Posted a 100 percent shooting percentage through two games with three shots, all on goal.
• Helped AUM to a 2-0 week with wins at South Region wins at Saint Leo and Tampa.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Sam Quickfall, So., D, UAH

• Played 152 minutes as UAH opened the season with a 2-0 record, allowing only one goal. 
• Scored a goal in the Chargers’ 6-0 victory over Shawnee State
• Helped hold opponents to 6.5 shots per game and 3.5 shots on goal per game, as UAH out-scored opponents 8-1 in two games.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Jacob Buhrkuhl, Fr., GK, AUM

• Recorded five saves in a 2-0 shutout during the season opener against Saint Leo.
• Played 90 minutes in each win over South Region foes.
• Made seven saves on 23 total shots during the week, allowing only one goal.
• Posted two saves in a 2-1 win over Tampa.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Brenan Greer, Fr., LW, AUM

• Helped the Warhawks to a 2-0 weekend against two top teams in the South Region. 
• Recorded his first career assist on AUM’s first goal of the season, setting up teammate Jade McKree in the 38th minute in the 2-0 victory over Saint Leo.
• Played 20 total minutes during the week, including 12 minutes against Saint Leo and eight against Tampa.
