UWF's Rondon Named ITA Division II Men's Tennis Player of the Year

West Florida’s Sebastian Rondon was named the 2025-26 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II Men’s Player of the Year. 

Rondon earned the honor after finishing the season as the No. 1-ranked played in the ITA Year-End Singles Rankings. 

OFFICIAL RELEASE

During the 2026 spring season, the senior put together a 26-3 record, while playing exclusively at the No. 1 position in the singles lineup. A native of Hollywood, Florida, Rondon was 9-0 against Gulf South Conference opponents, and per the UWF stats, finished with a 5-2 record against nationally ranked opposition.

Rondon is the second GSC men’s tennis athlete in the last four seasons to be ranked No. 1 in the ITA Year-End Singles in Singles Rankings, following Valdosta State’s Takeshi Taco, who finished atop the 2024-25 rankings.
