The Gulf South Conference announced its Football Players of the Week following Week 3 performances of the 2025 season. West Alabama's Spencer Arceneaux (offensive) and Michael Dujon (freshman) along with Delta State's Alex Larry (defensive) and Price Nixon (special teams) were recognized.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Spencer Arceneaux, Sr., QB, West Alabama

• Led the Tigers to a 52-14 rout over Barton College and a 4-0 start to the season as he racked up 370 total yards and was responsible for five touchdowns. 
• Threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns while completing 13-of-22 passes.
• Had a game-high 113 rushing yards on five carries and two touchdowns.
• Third consecutive GSC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alex Larry, Jr., DL, Delta State

• Was an impact performer for the Statesmen as he notched six tackles.
• Had three tackles for loss totaling 32, with 2.5 sacks for 31 yards. 
• Helped Delta State to a 21-16 win at Fort Valley State.
• Second GSC Defensive Player of the Week award of the season.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Price Nixon, Sr., P/K, Delta State

• Had four punts totaling 140 yards, including a long of 52 yards.
• Tallied three punts inside 20 yards. 
• Kicked off three times, amassing 191 yards with two touchbacks.
• Converted 3-of-3 extra-point kicks in a 21-16 win at Fort Valley State.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Michael Dujon, Fr., RB, West Alabama

• Helped West Alabama improve to 4-0 with a 52-14 win versus Barton College.
• Rushed for a season-high 95 yards on 14 carries (6.78 yds/attempt).
• Had one catch for nine yards, giving him 104 total yards of offense. 
• First Tiger to earn GSC Freshman of the Week honors since Sept. 9, 2016 (Jordan Jones).
