GSC Announce 2025-26 Conference Basketball Schedules

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced its men's and women's basketball schedules for the 2025-26 season. Dates and matchups were released, while game times will be announced at a later date.

The GSC calendar will be a 22-game double round-robin schedule played over the course of 12 weeks, with all games presented as a men's and women's doubleheader. 

2025-26 GSC COMPOSITE BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

Conference play for the 2025-26 campaign will begin December 4 and conclude on February 27. Regular season action opens November 14, while the NCAA Division II winter break is set for Dec. 22-28.

The 2026 GSC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will tip-off March 2 with quarterfinals, followed by semifinals and championship round games on March 5 and March 8, respectively. Both tournaments will consist of the top eight teams from each standings, however this will be the first year that the higher-seed in each matchup have home court advantage during each round.

Each of the Gulf South's 12 schools will independently announce their complete 2025-26 men's and women's basketball schedules, check team sites and social media accounts for details.

The GSC had a combined seven basketball teams qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships. A record four women's teams–UAH, Lee, Union and West Florida–appeared in the South Region tournament hosted by top-seeded Union, who eventually reached the Division II Women's Final Four. Meanwhile, UAH, Valdosta State and Montevallo represented the men, with UAH advancing to the South Region title game.
