BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Lee was selected as the favorite in the 2025 Gulf South Conference Men’s Cross Country Preseason Poll, as determined by the league’s head coaches who were unable to vote for their own team. 

The Flames collected 99 points and nine first-place votes, after celebrating their third consecutive GSC title last season. UAH was second with two first-place votes and 92 points, while Mississippi College followed in third with 82 points. 

The 55th season of Gulf South Conference men’s cross country will begin Friday, Sept. 5 with eight of 11 teams in action. The 2025 GSC Men’s Cross Country Championship is set for Saturday, Oct. 25 in Memphis, Tenn. The full 2025 GSC schedule can be found here.
