LEXINGTON, Ky. — Five Gulf South Conference volleyball programs garnered academic accolades as the American Volleyball Coaches (AVCA) unveiled the recipient list for the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT.

Representing the GSC were UAH, Auburn Montgomery, Montevallo, Mississippi College, Valdosta State and West Florida. Montevallo’s inclusion stretched its streak to 17 consecutive years of being honored.

In order to qualify, teams must maintain a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
