Following the completion of the 2024-25 Gulf South Conference athletic calendar, the GSC announced the final standings for the Men’s, Women’s and Overall All-Sports Standings. For the time in conference-history, the awards were split between three different schools, with Lee taking home the overall trophy, while Valdosta State and West Florida took home the men’s and women’s awards, respectively.
The 2024-25 All-Sports Trophies will be handed out to the institutions Thursday, May 29 as part of the GSC Awards Ceremony presented by Caldwell Architects.

Lee topped the overall standings with 117.125 points, marking its fifth consecutive GSC Overall All-Sport Trophy. The Flames had a successful season, winning GSC Championship titles in men’s and women’s cross country as well as women’s indoor and outdoor track & field. They were also among the top-four in the regular-season standings in women’s basketball and women’s soccer.
West Florida finished second in the overall standings with 114.875 points, while Mississippi College was third with 98.625 total points. Alabama Huntsville was fourth (93.875 pts), while Montevallo (89.625 pts) rounded out the top five.
Valdosta State topped the men’s standings with 40.875 points. The Blazers captured three GSC titles in 2024-25, owning the outright regular season titles in football and men’s tennis, while also celebrating men’s tennis tournament for second straight season. This is the first time since 2019 and conference-leading ninth-time VSU has won the GSC Men’s Sports All-Sports Trophy.
West Florida earned the women’s trophy as it amassed 49.375 points. The Argonaut women’s teams had a banner year winning six GSC titles — women’s soccer regular season and tournament, volleyball regular season and tournament, golf tournament, and softball tournament. This is UWF’s league-league 17th GSC Women’s All-Sports Trophy and first since 2019.
ALL-SPORTS TROPHY HISTORY
The Overall All-Sports Trophy counts all sports that a school sponsors, with its regular-season finish in the standings country towards 75 percent of the final rank, and a tournament finish making up the other 25 percent. For the men’s and women’s standings, basketball counts for every school and the top four next highest finishes for each sport by each school are counted; regular-season finish counts towards 75 percent of the final overall rank and tournament finish counts at 25 percent. Affiliate members are included in the calculations but do not qualify for All-Sports Trophy.
