BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced its 2025 men’s golf all-conference awards on Monday. Honorees were determined by the conference’s head coach via an online poll.
West Florida junior Cooper Tendick was voted the GSC Men’s Golfer of the Year. In addition, Delta State’s Zach Olson was tabbed Freshman of the Year, while UWF’s Steve Fell was named Coach of the Year.
Five of the Gulf South’s nine schools were represented across the two all-conference teams, with each team consisting of six student-athletes. West Florida led the way with five selections, followed by Lee with four.
Tendick carded an average score of 70.2 across 30 rounds. Ranked 11th among NCAA Division II leaders, the junior collected three top-three finishes including wins at the Southeastern Collegiate and Bearcat Fall Invitational. He helped the Argonauts to their third consecutive GSC Championship.
Olsen had two top-three finishes and shot 73.9 across 30 rounds in 10 tournaments. Ranked the top freshman in the Gulf South by Clippd National Ranking, he helped the Statesmen to a pair of top-three finishes.
Fell received his third consecutive GSC coaching award and fifth in six years. Under his direction, West Florida finished among the top-three in nine of 10 tournaments with four tournament wins.
