The Gulf South Conference has announced its women’s lacrosse weekly awards for the 2025 season following matches from Feb. 17-23. 
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Mickey Burnett, Sr., A, Lander

Burnett collected her second-straight GSC Offensive Player of the Week honor after tallying six points and helping Lander to a 2-0 week. The senior began the week by netting three goals on 11 shots on net and having two groundballs in a close 7-6 win over Newberry. She would then go on to have three more goals on three shots on goal along with another groundball in a 14-4 win over Palm Beach Atlantic.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kara Krusbe, Sr., GK, Lander

Krusbe earned her first GSC Defensive Player of the Week award this season after leading Lander in net to allow only 10 goals across two wins. To start the week, the senior stopped 7-of-13 Newberry shots to help Lander prevail by a score of 7-6. She then followed this up with nine saves while only allowing four goals in a 14-4 win over Palm Beach Atlantic. The Jupiter, Fla. native also had a caused turnover and two groundballs in the win.

Freshman of the Week
Isabelle Sawicki, Fr., GK, Alabama Huntsville

Sawicki was recognized with her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week honor after her performance against eighth-ranked Saint Leo. In 45 minutes of action, the freshman only allowed six goals, made 11 saves, and had a team-best seven groundballs in the close 12-10 loss.
