The Gulf South Conference announced its women's tennis weekly award winners for the 2024 season. This week's awards were for meets between February 12-18.
Player of the Week: Khim Iglupus, Gr., West Alabama
Iglupus was undefeated on the week to earn her first career GSC weekly honor. In singles action, she headlined the West Alabama lineup featuring on court one where she was victorious against AUM's Estefania Garcia (4-6, 6-2, 6-0) and Shorter's Sophia Rellano (6-2, 6-1). In tandem play, alongside Valentian Mutilba, she recorded a 6-3 win from court two over AUM, before securing a 6-0 win over Shorter with parnter Heden Ly.

Freshman of the Week: Sofia Zemtsova, Fr., Christian Brothers
Zemtsova went put together a solid week picking up a pair of singles wins from court one over Delta State's Guillaume (6-3, 6-3) and Montevallo's Podskubkova (6-3, 6-4). In doubles play, alongside teammate Grigoreva, she tallied a 6-2 win over Montevallo's top tandem, after falling 6-2 to Delta State's No. 1 doubles team.
