The Gulf South Conference has announced its 2024 women’s cross country weekly award following races from Oct. 14-20.
Runner of the Week
Victoria Markham, So., Union
In a field with multiple Division I teams, Markham finished third in the Watson Invitational 6k with a time of 22:45.29. The sophomore was one of two top-four finishers for Union as she helped to pace the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the overall team competition. This is Markham’s first GSC Runner of the Week honor this season.

Freshman of the Week
Kate Finch, Fr., Mississippi College
Finch captured her second GSC Freshman of the Week honor this season after a performance at the Watson Invitational 6k that saw her finish 25
th with a time of 24:19.24. This was the third-best time in the race for Mississippi College and the sixth-best time for all freshmen at the event. Finch also helped the Lady Choctaws to finish sixth in the overall team competition.
