The Gulf South Conference announce the results of the preseason poll and All-GSC teams for the 2024-25 season. Both were determined via an online vote of the league’s 12 head coaches.
For the fourth time in the last five seasons, Alabama Huntsville topped the preseason rankings as it received six first-place votes and 115 total points. The Chargers were closely followed by Lee in second as it received 113 points and four first-place votes. Both teams finished 17-7 last season in conference play, while UAH was 21-11 overall and appeared in the GSC Championship title game, while the Flames finished 21-9 and reached the semifinals of the conference tournament.
West Alabama was picked third as it garnered two first-place votes and 102 points. Christian Brothers came in fourth with 75 points, while Delta State and Valdosta State tied for fifth and were three points back. Mississippi College was picked seventh with 61 points and Union rounded out the top-eight with 57 points.
This season’s preseason selection was headlined by Mississippi College junior Rashad Bolden, who was a First Team All-GSC pick last season. He was joined by a trio of Second Team All-GSC picks from a year ago in UAH’s Tommy Murr and Luke Bennett as well as Delta State’s Keithean Brooks. Trevecca Nazarene guard Jalen Page was also recognized on the preseason selections.
Preseason poll points were awarded in an 11 through 1 scale, with first-place votes worth 11 points and an 11th-place selection worth one-point. Preseason all-conference was determined in a 5-4-3-2-1 scale. Coaches could note vote for their own team or student-athletes.

The 2024-25 campaign will be the 53rd season of GSC men’s basketball and the debut of Trevecca Nazarene in the Gulf South Conference. Teams will play a double-round robin conference schedule that will comprise of 20 matches over 12 weeks.
