NACDA Announce Fall LEARFIELD Cup Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Six Gulf South Conference member schools were named to the 2023-24 LEARFIED Directors’ Cup fall standings. 

With the announcement, the conference had the most schools represented from the South Region and second-most from Super Region 2.

Institutionally, Lee led the GSC cohort as it garnered 14th-place with 180.50 points. The Flames earned 69 points in women’s cross country, 61.5 in men’s cross country and another 50 in women’s soccer. 

West Florida followed at 29th with 139 points, while Mississippi College was also among the top-50 as the Choctaws checked in at 47th with 104 points. The GSC was also represented by No. 75 Valdosta State (70 pts), No. 89 Delta State (53 pts), and Alabama Huntsville who rounded out the order at No. 114 (47 pts).

The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
