BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Eighty-one total Gulf South Conference soccer student-athletes from 11 institutions were named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
A total of 54 women and 27 men were honored. It is an overall increase of nearly double the 2022 season total of 41. Of the 11 schools represented, Christian Brothers and West Florida each had a conference-best 11 total honorees, with six women's nods and five for the men. Alabama Huntsville had with nine overall honorees, Spring Hill and West Alabama had seven apiece, while Auburn Montgomery, Lee, Montevallo, Union, Valdosta State, West Georgia each had six.

The CSC Academic All-District® honorees the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. In addition, fall sport candidates must compete in 90 percent of their team's games/sets or must start in at least 66 percent contests/sets.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
