The Gulf South Conference announced its Men’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week for the 2022 season. This week’s awards were for events held between September 12-18.
Runner of the Week: Hunter Kurz, Sr., Mississippi College
Kurz was the top Division II runner in a Division I-heavy field last weekend at the North Alabama Showcase. The senior clocked a time of 24:00.07 placing ninth-overall and helping Mississippi College to eight-place finish in the team standings.

Freshman of the Week: Hayden Judge, Fr., Lee
Judge made his collegiate debut at the North Alabama Showcase last week, helping Lee to a four-place finish in a Division I-laden field. The rookie finished 27th-overall with a time of 24:16.1 and set a new program-record for freshman in an 8K.
