Lee Sweeps GSC All-Sports Trophy for Second Year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Following a successful year which featured seven league tournament titles, Lee finished atop the final edition of the 2021-22 Gulf South Conference All-Sport standings.

FULL STANDINGS

The Flames won their second-consecutive overall award, as they amassed 142.000 points, becoming the third school in league-history to sweep both the men's and women's awards in consecutive seasons, since the introduction of the women's trophy during the 1982-83 academic year. 

Lee captured GSC tournament championships in women's cross country, women's soccer, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's golf, women's outdoor track & field and baseball. As a result, the Lady Flames topped the women's standings with 51.625 points, while the men's teams led the league with 47.875 points.

PREVIOUS WINNERS

In the overall standings, West Florida (111.375 ) finished in second, Alabama Huntsville (97.125) followed in third, while Montevallo (93.875) and Mississippi College (91.625) rounded out the top five. 

The GSC will present the men's, women's and overall All-Sports Trophies on Thursday, June 2 in Pensacola, Fla., as part of the league's annual awards banquet.
