10 GSC Schools Named in LEARFIELD Cup Winter Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Gulf South Conference was well-represented in the winter edition of the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings, as announced by the National Association of Athletic Directors (NACDA). The league was represented by 10 of its 13 member institutions, as three new members were added from the Fall standings.

FULL STANDINGS: Overall | By Conference

Leading the way Lee as it added 164.5 points during the winter season, pushing its overall total to 342 points, landing the Flames at 16th in the standings. Also among the top 50 was West Florida at No. 31 with 267.5 points and Alabama Huntsville at No. 50 with 208.5 points. Following was No. 57 Valdosta State (188.0) and No. 89 Mississippi College (126.0). 

Union and Delta State debuted at No. 105 and 109, respectively, while Auburn Montgomery (No. 143), West Georgia (No. 162) and West Alabama (No. 192) rounded out the order. 

The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
