NOTABLE
- The first half was a close affair, with Valdosta State leading the entire way. Guard Burke Putnam scored 12 first-half points.
- The Blazers went on a quick 12-0 run in an early stretch of the second frame. Imoras Agee and Jacolbey Owens hit back-to-back triples. Maurice Gordon also poured in six points.
- Burke Putnam was the key offensive cog for the Blazers, scoring 28 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the GSC Men's Basketball Championship.
- Fellow all-tournament team members Imoras Agee and Jacolbey Owens added 15 and 16 points, respectively.
- GSC West Player of the Year Sam Orf did everything he could for the Chargers, scoring 33 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. The 33 points was a career high for the Chargers guard.
