GSC Announces 2021 Volleyball All-GSC and Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Gulf South Conference announced its annual volleyball awards on Wednesday.

West Florida won four-of-five individual accolades as Veresia Yon was named GSC Player of the Year, Taylor Vaneekeren was voted Setter of the Year, Ashton Marshall received Libero of the Year, and Melissa Wolter was named Coach of the Year. Valdosta State’s Jojo Smith meanwhile garnered Freshman of the Year honors.

The All-GSC First and Second Team as well as individual awards were chosen by the Gulf South’s 12 coaches. Each all-conference team was chosen regardless of position.
