To go along with his GSC Hall of Fame honor, Butler will be making multiple donations related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The full quote from Butler on this recognition and his charitable efforts can be found below.

“I am humbled and honored to be inducted into the Gulf South Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2020 for my performance on the field for the University of West Alabama.

However, I can’t accept this recognition without thanking the real Hall of Famers and MVPs of our community: Our healthcare workers and first responders who are keeping us safe!

In honor of their sacrifice and service I am making a donation to Meharry Medical School to purchase badly needed supplies and meals for our healthcare workers to help take care of the citizens of Nashville.

Also, in my hometown of Vicksburg, I will be purchasing meals for over 600 seniors who are unable to shop for themselves.

Nashville and my hometown of Vicksburg have always supported me, and I want to do my part to help them during this difficult time.”
