This is the fifth time in six years that a West Georgia golfer has won this award. She is the first golfer in league history to be named first team all-conference all four years. Bremm won medalist honors at the GSC Championship for the second time in her career, and she is the third person to ever win the tournament twice. She was also named All-Tournament all four seasons.
Gomez is the first Argo to be named the league’s top freshman since Elin Osslon in 2013. Gomez finished third at the GSC Championship and was named to the All-Tournament Team. She was twice named GSC Freshman of the Month, and was named GSC Golfer of the Month for February. She also took home First Team All-GSC honors, finishing with the third best scoring average in the league.
Maupin led Lee to its second straight GSC Championship, finishing 18 strokes ahead of second place. Lee has three golfers finish in the top six at the league’s championship, and five named all-conference. The Lady Flames are headed to the NCAA Regional for the fourth straight season.
