PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shelby Booker Alabama Huntsville
AVG: .762 // SLG%: .942 // R: 9 // RBI: 8 // SB: 5
Notes: Booker went 16-for-21 at the Charger Chillout this weekend, hitting four doubles, driving in eight, and scoring nine runs. She was also a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Caylie Van Auken Valdosta State
W-L: 2-0 // IP: 17.0 // ER: 1 // BB: 0 // SO: 23
Notes: Van Auken had two complete game shutouts for the Blazers this weekend, and pitched a total of 17 innings, allowing just one run. She struck out 23 batters and gave up no walks. Opponents hit just .148 off of the sophomore. This is the second straight week this award has gone to VSU.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Teala Howard West Florida
AVG: .556 // SLG%: .722 // R: 8 // RBI: 7 // SB: 4
Notes: Through two weeks, Howard leads the league in batting average, hitting .600 (18-for-30). This weekend, she had her first career home run and drove in seven runs for UWF. This is the second straight week that she has won this award.
