SELECTION SHOW RELEASE

NCAA RELEASE | REGIONAL BRACKETS

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.
– West Florida and Mississippi College have qualified for the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship.

The Argonauts and the Lady Choctaws are the third and sixth seeds and will meet in the first round in a rematch of this year's GSC Championship. The showdown will be at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 28. West Florida will be the host of this half of the regional bracket.

This is the 22nd straight year that West Florida has made the national tournament. The Argonauts fell to Lynn in last year's regional final, and Lynn is a potential second round opponent for UWF, as the Fighting Knights are the second seed in the region.

For Mississippi College, this is the first NCAA Championship for the women's tennis program. Just two years ago, the Lady Choctaws went 3-7 in GSC play. This season, MC went 11-1 in league play, finished second in the standings, and advanced all the way to the conference championship game.

The final 16 teams in the country will advance to Surprise, Arizona. That 16-team tournament is scheduled from May 9-12.
