Lee Wins Fourth Straight GSC Men's Cross Country Championship

CLINTON, Miss. - For the fourth straight season, Lee has won the GSC Men's Cross Country Championship.
For the second straight year,
Christian Noble finished as the individual medalist. Noble is the 10th runner in GSC history to win two straight individual titles.
The Flames had six runners named all-conference, with their top five finishing 1st, 8th, 9th, 13th, and 18th.
Lee won the event with 49 points, followed by Mississippi College, who scored 56 points. All five of MC's scoring runners earned all-conference honors. Since returning to the GSC, the Choctaws have improved each year, finishing sixth in 2016 and third in 2017.
Alabama Huntsville had three runners finish in the top six and placed third as a team with 63 points.

In addition to the fourth straight team championship, Lee's
Caleb Morgan was named GSC Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.
As the top finishing freshman, Mississippi College's
Evan Del Rio, a four-time GSC Freshman of the Week, was named GSC Freshman of the Year.
The regional meets will take place in two weeks on Saturday, November 17. The South Region's Championship will take place at Florida Southern in Lakeland, Florida. The top three teams from each region will advance to the NCAA Championship, and then 10 teams will earn at-large selection, for a total of 34 teams.
Additionally, the top two individual finishers in each region not associated with a qualifying team will advance to the national meet. Any top five finisher not associated with a qualifying team will automatically move on. Eight at-large individuals will then be selected to round out the field.
