Lexie Bradley has been named the GSC Player of the Year, while West Alabama’s
Kassie Till and West Florida’s
Logan Kael have each been named the GSC Co-Freshman of the Year. Melissa Wolter, head coach of the 2017 GSC Regular Season Champions from West Florida, has been named GSC Coach of the Year.
Bradley is a three-time all-conference selection and the second straight Lion to be named GSC Player of the Year. The senior led the GSC in kills at 4.75 kills per set, which also ranked seventh in Division II. That was more than a kill more than the player in second place. Kael is a three-time GSC Freshman of the Week and a two-time GSC Defensive Player of the Week. She led the undefeated GSC Regular Season Champions in digs and finished second on the team in assists.
In his 15
th year at the head of West Florida, Wolter is now a five-time GSC Coach of the Year. Her 372 wins ranks fourth in the league history, and her career winning percentage (.747) ranks second in league history. The Argonauts finished atop the GSC standings for the third straight year, finishing 16-0 in conference play this season. West Florida is hosting the GSC Championship this weekend, and Wolter will be going for her seventh GSC Title at UWF.
