KEY MOMENT
Less than two minutes after the start of the game, lightning forced a weather delay of an hour and 35 minutes. The two teams traded a pair of goals in the first six minutes after the delay before Shorter got back-to-back goals by Alex Abbey and Tiffany Kongpachith in the 12
th minute of play. UAH responded to a 4-2 Shorter lead by going on a 10-0 run before closing the first half with a 12-5 lead. Huntir Cramer scored the go-ahead goal with 13:54 to play in the half and followed with her third goal of the match less than two minutes later. Nicole Federovitch and Natalie Pachinger also recorded hat tricks in the first half to lead the Chargers, including four goals in the half by Federovitch. The seven-goal cushion sustained the Chargers in the second half. Megan Hart scored two of UAH’s goals in the second half to become the fourth Charger with a hat trick in the game.
NOTABLE
win sets up a rematch of the closest GSC game of the season, a 17-16 Young Harris victory in early April. YHC rallied with an 8-0 run to win the match, its GSC opener.
