Statesmen dominate GSC quarterfinals
FLORENCE, Ala. – PJ Davis and Jack Madgen each scored 20 to lead Delta State to a dominant 90-59 win at No. 4 North Alabama on Tuesday in the 2015-16 VisitSpaceCoast.com Gulf South Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinals.

KEY MOMENTS
Delta State opened the game with a 7-0 run and hit five 3-pointers in the first half. Four of those 3s belonged to Jack Madgen to help build a double-digit lead. After UNA pulled within single digits with 13:43 to play in the game, DSU answered with a 13-2 run. DSU led by 20 or more for the final nine minutes of play.
NOTABLE
-DSU held UNA to 29 percent shooting and 27 points below its scoring average.
-DSU turned the ball over only six times, the second lowest of the season.
-The win ties the all-time series between DSU and UNA, 43-43.
