BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Union, in its first year of eligibility, won the 2015 VisitSpaceCoast.Com GSC Tournament Title on Saturday.

KEY MOMENT
Teams combined for 11-for-48 (23%) shooting in the first half. Though Union bounced back in the second going 13-for-20 (65%) from the field.

"My goal at the beginning of the year was to create a family for the new players to buy in to the culture that we have, for their hearts to be soft towards one another" Union Head Coach Mark Campbell said. "It’s fun to watch that maturity process each and every year from the inside out and I think this reflects on the basketball floor, whether we win or lose.”
 
NOTABLE
UU wins its first GSC Women’s Tournament crown in its first year of eligibility. While marking the top ranking in the NCAA South Regional Poll, they are currently No. 15 in the WBCA National Poll and No. 7 in the D2SIDA National Media Poll.
