For the first time this season, all eight Gulf South Conference schools take the gridiron during the same week.
Saturday's slate includes one league matchup and six non-conference tilts. Game Two of the GSC Football Game of the Week Presented by Florida's Space Coast features the nation's lone Top 25 clash of the week when
No. 13 Valdosta State hosts
No. 14 Delta State at 7:00 pm (EST). The game is exclusive to ESPN3 and can be accessed at

The GSC also puts its impressive 11-1 non-conference mark on the line on Saturday.
Florida Tech and
Shorter seek to remain undefeated in 2014 as each take part in the 2014 Lone Star Football Festival at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. SU takes on West Texas A&M at 1:00 pm (CST), followed immediately by FIT versus No. 12 Tarleton State at 5:00 pm (CST).
West Georgia celebrates its Homecoming, entertaining Division II CIAA member Johnson C. Smith.
No. 5 North Alabama jumps out of Conference play, opening its home slate versus NAIA Langston.
No. 17 West Alabama and
future member Mississippi College round out the day facing NCAA Division I-FCS foes. UWA travels to former GSC rival Jacksonville State in their first meeting since 1992. MC also hits the road against Lamar with the Choctaws owning the series edge after taking the only matchup in 1988.

The second GSC Football Game of the Week has important early season implications when No. 14 Delta State journeys to No. 13 Valdosta State.
The rivals have provided offensive fireworks in the last two contests, combining for 100 points in 2012 and 118 points a year ago. VSU took a 59-41 decision at home two years ago, but DSU answered with a 63-55 triumph in Cleveland in 2013. Overall, the Statesmen own an 18-14-1 all-time lead thanks to victories in seven of the last eight battles. Delta State has made Bazemore-Hyder Stadium a home-away-from-home, earning nine wins in its past 15 trips to Valdosta, Ga. In fact, VSU's home victory in 2012 was the Blazers first since 2004.
Saturday also marks the team's seventh GSC-TV matchup. Delta State is 5-1 in the previous televised contests, stringing together six in a row after Valdosta State claimed the first meeting in 2005. DSU has the top winning percentage (.682; 15-7) in GSC-TV action dating back to 2005, while VSU is 13-8 for a 61.9 percentage.

Shorter seeks to make school history under the lights of AT&T Stadium in this year's edition of the Lone Star Football Festival.
SU is in search of its first-ever 3-0 start and battles Lone Star Conference member West Texas A&M in the second game of the Festival. In fact, the GSC provides two members in this year's Festival for the first time since its creation in 2011 as Florida Tech plays in Game Three. The GSC holds a 2-1 record at the Festival with North Alabama and Valdosta State earning victories before Delta State fell in last year's event. The Hawks have never played a LSC member in its 10-year history.

Florida Tech will be the second GSC squad to take the field at AT&T Stadium in Game Three of the 2014 Lone Star Football Festival.
FIT attempts to record its first-ever win over a nationally ranked foe when they battle Lone Star Conference member, No. 12 Tarleton State, at 5:00 pm (CST). The Panthers are 0-3 versus ranked squads after falling at home to then No. 16 West Alabama and No. 24 North Alabama and at No. 1 Valdosta State in 2013. FIT is one of five GSC teams seeking to stretch their respective overall records to 3-0 and the Panthers are also in search of their first-ever 3-0 start in just their second year as an official NCAA program.

West Georgia celebrates an early Homecoming when CIAA member Johnson C. Smith enters University Stadium for a first-ever meeting.
A UWG victory gives the Wolves their first 3-0 start since 2001 and its third straight win over a non-conference Division II member. West Georgia has collected a three-game home winning streak dating back to 2013, led by a 38-26 victory in its season-opener versus Mars Hill. UWG is 2-0 all-time against CIAA schools, topping Livingstone at home in 1992 (18-12) and St. Augustine's at home in 2011 (23-21).

Old in-state rivals clash for the first time since 1992 when
No. 17 West Alabama goes to NCAA Division I-FCS Jacksonville State on Saturday.
The UWA/JSU rivalry dates back to 1938 and the squads were both charter members of the GSC from 1972 until the Gamecocks reclassified to Division I after the 1992 season. Saturday’s game marks the first meeting since JSU’s departure when the Gamecocks won their sixth straight taking a 29-13-1 series lead. GSC teams have gone 2-2 versus JSU since 1992 after West Georgia claimed a 25-22 upset in 1995 and North Alabama won in 2003, 28-16. UNA nearly made it two in a row a year ago, pushing the Gamecocks to overtime before falling 24-21. West Alabama plays a FSC team for the fourth straight year.

North Alabama has won 25 of its last 28 regular season games against non-GSC schools and is 4-0 versus teams from the Sooner State.
