Two GSC Volleyball Players Named Capital One Academic All-District

Birmingham, Ala. - Alabama Huntsville's Ashton Baker and Kelsey Hedman were named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team on Thursday.
Hedman, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., a junior communication sciences and disorders major, earned a 4.0 GPA. She contributed 207 kills and averaged 2.13 kills in 97 sets so far this season.
A native of Milton, Fla., Baker is a senior majoring in language arts and a 3.55 GPA. She has shoveled 217 digs and averaged 3.01 digs in 72 sets played this season.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-American honorees will be selected later this month.
