NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans announced the hiring of Mark Slessinger as head men’s basketball coach on Tuesday afternoon.
Slessinger, who has served as the top assistant for Mike McConathy at Northwestern State for the last 11 years, will be introduced at a 1 p.m. press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The event will take place at the Homer L. Hitt Alumni and Visitor Center on UNO’s main campus. The press conference is open to members of the media, the UNO campus and community.
A ‘Meet and Greet’ with Slessinger for Privateer fans is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Privateer Room at Lakefront Arena.
